Responsibilities:
- Conduct soil tests and analyze results to recommend appropriate soil treatments.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of crop rotation and soil conservation techniques.
- Operate and maintain agricultural machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor crop health and implement pest and disease control measures.
- Provide guidance and support to farmers on best agricultural practices and emerging technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, inputs, and outputs.
- Collaborate with the research and development team to test and evaluate new agricultural methods and products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the agricultural sector, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of crop management, soil health, and pest control.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with farmers and team members.
- Willingness to travel to various field locations as required.
